The importance of appropriateness and acceptability of intervention
We were delighted to see positive feedback from parents and careers following our Positive Behaviour Support Skills Training – Introduction to Understanding and Managing Behaviours of Concern. The appropriateness and acceptability were critical areas to explore. The results were highly positive as strongly agreed or agreed was scored as follows: 92% found the training helpful in developing the skills to support their child, 96% were willing to use these intervention strategies, 85% liked the strategies recommended, 82% found the intervention applicable in a variety of settings and 82% reported the recommended strategies as a good fit for their daily life.
